Tourist magnet Barcelona to cut cruise ship capacity

Barcelona has revealed a plan to decrease cruise passenger arrivals at its port. The city aims to cut cruise ship terminals from seven to five by 2030. This will reduce traveller capacity from 37,000 to 31,000. Cruise passenger numbers grew significantly between 2018 and 2024. The demolition and construction will cost 185 million euros.
